Elizabeth Bear started writing science fiction about dinosaurs when she was in third grade. She hasn't recovered, but she likes to think she's better at it now.

She has fiction available this month at Chiaroscuro and SCIFICTION, and her first novel, HAMMERED, is forthcoming from Bantam Spectra in spring of 2005.

She lives near Las Vegas with an assortment of large pets.
