Bio

Lois McMaster Bujold started writing in 1982, and sold her first story to Twilight Zone in 1985. Her first novel was published in 1986 and since then she has published more than 15 others, winning Nebula Awards for Falling Free and The Mountains of Mourning and Hugo Awards for The Vor Game, Barrayar, Mirror Dance and The Mountains of Mourning (all from the Miles Vorkosigan universe). Recently, The Curse of Chalion won the 2002 Mythopoeic Award for Adult Literature, Diplomatic Immunity was nominated for a Best Novel Nebula in 2003, and her latest, Paladin of Souls, won Best Romantic Novel outside the Romance Genre from Romance Readers Anonymous.
